It's my 2 year anniversary !
I totally forgot it was 2 years ago this night that I signed my papers to become a business with the state of Indiana. Nina's Belicious Bakery, LLC. Of course my mom helped me get all of that together. I should always remember since I was 12 years old and it was the 12th day of the new year 2012. Wonder what the next two years will bring. I'm still loving it!

Replacing old ceiling with "washable tiles"

I was explaining this today to someone today so I thought I would post it since I had the pictures. It was one of the steps to getting certified. I had to take all of the old ceiling tiles(my family helped too) out of the bakery area and replace them with new plastic washable ceiling tiles. It echos like crazy now and was a giant mess to clean up, but the health department doesn't allow the other cardboard ceiling tiles in an area where food is prepared. When we finished cutting and putting up all the tiles it was so dirty I needed to wash everything down like 4 times!
Panda of cuteness and yumminess

Happy Birthday to Audrey my little buddy! Think I should call this the rainbow panda of sweetness! Hope Audrey will like the pink frosting heart center I put into her cake. :)
I had so many different colors going to make this cake... really need to get tiny piping bags so I don't have to waste so much frosting ... will look to see if they make them. If not I will invent them! ha ha

Candyland Christmas
December 24, 2012
I've been taking lots of pictures since last year but just have not made the time to post some of my adventures. So this was last Christmas where we turned the bakery into a giant Candyland game... where at the end everyone (all my cousins) got to decorate their own giant cupcake. We put out so many different candies - yummy!

A Step Towards Bakery Certification
January 2013
We had just had a lady that use to work for the Health Department come and do a private analysis of our second kitchen that we were going to try for state certification for a real bakery. After the long list of things we needed to do I was going to quit but my mom always says to just do one thing at a time and work the problem. So we started. First thing we tore out all carpeting and then painted. We planned to make it look like a 1950's diner (my mom loves the 50's) she said she needed to like it too since I'm young and might change my mind about running a business so she didn't want to get stuck with something she didn't like. That's cool with me since I like it too. So this is me working on the painting of everything. Then we put down black and white stick down tile. The floor took forever with all the cutting. I was glad to finish that.
